David J. Prelutsky, M.D., F.A.C.P
Dr. Prelutsky founded Southampton Healthcare in 1986, and has been in the private practice of general medicine since that time.
Although the practice includes a diverse clientele, he has been serving the gay, lesbian and bisexual community from the beginning.
Dr. Prelutsky was born in St. Louis. He completed his undergraduate work at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Dr. Prelutsky then returned to St. Louis to complete his medical degree at St. Louis University, and his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at the University Hospital and Clinics.
Dr. Prelutsky continued at St. Louis University as an Assistant Professor of Medicine for the two years following his residency.
He currently holds a Clinical Faculty position at Washington University School of Medicine.
He has been board certified in Internal Medicine since 1982.
In addition, he is certified as a HIV Specialist (AAHIVS).
Dr. Prelutsky has been a pioneer in the treatment of HIV in the primary care setting and has extensive expertise in this field. In addition, he has been conducting HIV clinical trials to expedite the release of new medications.
He is on staff at Barnes-Jewish.
